He moved to Tembisa at the age of 14, a township known for producing a lot of recognized Dj’s worldwide like Dj Shimza. His passion for music grew stronger in his teen years which was influenced by a big family of music lovers. He started his own brand ‘Basil SoulnShades’ and began to deejay fulltime. He later went on to release 2 EP’s and two international remixes with Seres Produções. He now also hosts an event annually on the 16th of June called ‘ALL BLACK EVERYTHING’ which has hosted over 3000 people thus far.
