I am doing my best to learn how Marine Conservation can become more diverse and equal and provide that information to you. Over the past week, two pieces of content have really inspired me to think better as a Marine Conservationist. The first piece of content was a short documentary called "Big Ocean Islands" which dove into the many issues facing pacific Island Communities that stemmed back to the 1940s when the US military conducted nuclear bomb tests among the islands.  The second piece of content was a podcast in the Speak Up for Blue Podcast Network called "The Guide To Mindful Conservation: Dancing In Pink Hiking Boots" by Dr. Ashley Scarlett. She interviewed Nikita Shiel-Rolle who lives on Cat Island in the Bahamas. Nikita discusses how colonialism is still in practice today and is conducted within conservation.  Content like this is truly inspiring and needs to be out there. So I give my thoughts about colonialism in science and try to find solutions (and ask for solutions from you) to improve Marine
