Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Together, We're Gonna Find Our Way: An Unofficial Silver Spoons Podcast. Today, I covered Silver Spoons S4E9: A Magnificent Obsession, which aired on November 24, 1985. In this episode Rick tries to win back his girlfriend when she leaves him for the captain of the football team. And I also covered S4E10: Judgement Day, which aired on December 1, 1985. In this episode when Edward lectures him about his poor geometry grade, Rick goes crazy trying to improve it. I really enjoyed both these episodes, but if I had to choose one over the other, I think I would have to go with A Magnificent Obsession, the songs they played and Rick's wardrobe montage in the beginning shows it's beginning to appeal to the teenage demographic hard. I feel the teenagers could identify with Rick going through what a teenager goes through worrying about self image, dating and parents pressuring their kids to get good grades especially when it comes to college.
