Happy 4th Of July Punky Peeps! Angela Bowen here, the host of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast. Today, I’m celebrating the 100th of the Punky Power Podcast with a funny episode of the Saturday Morning Cartoon Punky Brewster entitled Call Me Ms. This episode was hilarious. Henry’s out of town on a photography gig and has hired a babysitter for Punky. Punky feels she’s too old to have a babysitter and she can take care of herself, but Henry won’t hear of it. I mean, it’s not like she’s not left home alone all the time. At one point she even tells him she’s almost a teenager. She’s 9! That’s not a teenager Punky! After Henry leaves, she asks Glomer to make her older so she can do whatever she wants and no one will tell her what to do. She gets a job at the Snack Shack across the street that is run by one person who before she arrived, was the cook, the waiter and the manager. He basically ran that place by himself and will continue to do so when he fires Punky a couple hours later. We
