Hey Punky Peeps, Well, That's A Wrap On Season 2 Punky Peeps! Hi, i'm Angela Bowen the host of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Power Podcast. With the completion of the Season 2 Finale of Punky Brewster S2E22: Accidents Happen which aired on March 9, 1986. Punky's dream is to become an astronaut when she grows up. When she sees the explosion of the Challenger Space Shuttle on TV, she is devastated. I learned so much recording this episode regarding the space program and I even had someone close to me talk about their experience when they saw the Challenger Explosion in January of 1986. That special guest was my husband Jeremy who you will hear for a couple of minutes in the beginning. I would have had him on longer but he didn't have anything else to say on the subject. I also went on a mini tangent about Sylvester Stallone and his country singing movie Rhinestone with Dolly Parton. Thanks a lot Allen, you just had to be dressed as Rambo, didn't you ?
