Hey there Punky Peeps, This time around I’ll be discussing two serious episodes the first one is S2E8: Just Say No which aired on October 27, 1985 and this is the episode that dealt with Punky and Cherie being offered drugs by a group of 5th grade girls who call themselves the Chiclets, yes just like the candy. Time for my Brandon Tail Wag Episode Rating: I’m giving this episode 5 out of 5 Brandon Tail Wags 1. For approaching the subject of the temptation of drug use in a way that wasn’t too scary for young kids but gave a positive message. 2. For showing Punky and Cherie so eager to join an older girls group that they began to mimic their dress and slang and how easily the older girls had influence over Punky and Cherie and showing Punky and Cherie trying hard to resist the urge to try drugs. 3. For Henry and Betty vetoing the idea of Punky and Cherie hanging out with 6th graders being they’re 9 years old. This was before Chiclets were revealed to be drug users. 4.
