2 Sober Chicks

Don't get hung up on language! Perhaps the dumbest thing I ever did when I came to AA was search for excuses to stay sick. Excuses like "the book is outdated"; "it's misogynistic"; "it was written by 2 white, heterosexual males"; "it mentions the word God", the list goes on. And the longer my list grew the longer I stayed stuck in relapse or sober and in pain. It was only when I surrendered to having an open mind and got over the language and focused on the MESSAGE that I started to get well. Today, sobriety is my new normal and life is infinitely more peaceful since I stopped fighting it.
