Episode 94 is about a movie that exists in the blind spot of many horror movie fans: “Street Trash” (1987). Before getting into this one, your hosts talk about what they’ve been watching. Aside from some apes, most of what Will has been into recently could all just be called “Pardon my Murder”. You know, because all those folks in England and Scotland are so polite, but somehow have murders anyway. Richard saw “Atomic Blonde”, really enjoyed it, and spent a lot of the movie wondering what the soundtrack licensing costs were. Since the studio mics pick up the sounds of dogs and helicopters, we wonder, “why not a screaming baby?”. And then, on to “Street Trash”. It’s set in New York and of course there’s a tough cop who plays by his own rules. He’s on the case of a bunch of homeless junkyard dwellers who get ahold of some recently discovered toxic booze that melts anyone who drinks it.
