1914. Both the United and Confederate States smolder so soon after the 2nd Atlantic War. Tensions are high even among the upper crust, so when a black dwarf--famous geologist Dr. Winston Albemarle--is accused of murder onboard the transcontinental railroad, people are all too ready to dispense justice without the formality of a trial. Can the good doctor clear his name before things--and the train itself--go south?
