Thanks for joining us today as we explore a “boring” portion of scripture - the genealogy of Jesus found in the opening verses in the Gospel of Matthew. The surprising truth is that this passage is far from boring as it tells the story of our God who brings redemption and purpose to even the most broken of us! As we explore these names may we remember that God knows our name too, and we are welcomed into his eternal family by the power of Jesus. “Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!” (Psalm 139:16-17)
