Her love for music started at age five when she learned to play the drums alongside her father's guitar riffs. SASO's home was always filled with music as her Dad was a rock and roll musician and her oldest sister was apart of early rave culture. Throughout her childhood SASO's love for music quickly grew and she learned to play guitar. Her first debut as a performer came when she fronted a band called It Soars Above. Moving to Los Angeles in 2009 at a young age allowed her to immerse herself in the underground house scene Los Angeles is notorious for and her love for electronic music grew. Having a knack for rhythm and beats SASO soon geared up and decided to get behind the deck
