Things We Said Today #336 – BBC Dream LP

Informações:

Sinopsis

For Episode 336 of Things We Said Today, Ken Michaels, Allan Kozinn and Darren DeVivo imagined that EMI, in early 1964, decided to compile an album of tracks the Beatles had been playing on the BBC over the previous year, and each provided a proposed tracklist. There were no rules, although for the purpose of the exercise, they used the two double-CD sets that EMI eventually released (rather than one of the far more complete bootleg compilations) as source material, and they focused on the songs the Beatles did not record for EMI. Since this was to be a British LP, they limited themselves to 14 tracks (well… except for Darren who chose 16 on the grounds that they were so short). Here are their tracklists, and the rationale for their choices. Plus a whole lotta news items. As always, we welcome your thoughts about this episode of the show or any other episode.
