Second albums are a notoriously tricky obstacle for many musicians, but this week we celebrate the anniversary of the release of Nirvana's seminal second album 'Nevermind' by tipping our hats to acts made equally big steps forward with theirs. Hot Chip, Jamie T, Mystery Jets and Interpol are amongst the acts who receive shouts in what rapidly becomes an unabashed trip down memory lane for us. These are acts and albums we loved during our teenage years, and playing them again was a real joy for us. Hopefully hearing them will be for you too. Away from second albums, there's a first in our musical highlights section as we share one selection - the incredible new documentary 'The Beatles: Eight Days A Week - The Touring Years'. We were lucky enough to be invited to an advanced screening of the film and loved it so much that we couldn't possible pick separate highlights. It's that good.
