Jeff and Jonny invite back Thomas Weinmaster to the podcast to discuss two albums that sit on Rolling Stone Magazine's top 500 albums of all time (2012). London Calling was the third record from The Clash which saw them depart further from punk's rigid structure and challenge the genre as a whole. With Californication, the Chilli Peppers were looking to find their footing again after a poorly received 'One Hot Minute'. Bringing back John Frusciante as lead guitar for this album gave them a canvas they all needed to work off of and leading to a second rise of the RHCP.
