Rose Gear, an experienced music and arts administrator, business professional and musician, has been appointed full-time executive director of the Cascade Symphony Orchestra by the organization’s board of directors. Gear, who has served as executive assistant to the Seattle Symphony’s music director, Ludovic Morlot, during the past four years, will be the CSO’s administrative leader, working with board members to establish and achieve the mission and values of the orchestra. She will manage business affairs and advocacy in addition to directing community relations and fundraising for the 57-year old nonprofit music organization.
