Flipping America

Just the other day I interviewed Marcus Carter, entrepreneur, author, real estate investor and creator of the website theblackwealthbuilder.org. I ended up having a frank and refreshingly positive conversation about racial issues and real estate investing.  I don’t really think about issues of race all that much. The color of a person’s skin is such a silly thing to worry about in my humble opinion. I know that it of course is a hot issue in our society but I’ve been unsure what, if anything, I can do to help. My good friends Ramon Tookes and Glen Glasper and I did a YouTube show with me titled, “An Honest Conversation About Race.” Well-meaning white people are being pushed into a no-win situation by some of the shouters out there. If we go about our business as usual, we are accused of being racist. If we say, “I’m colorblind” they will say, “if you have to proclaim it, that just proves you’re racist.” So what are we to do? Carry on as best we can, live the truth we believe and let our reputation over time s
