Sinopsis
People with diabetes were encouraged to get a COVID vaccine early on when the shots were released. But what happens when you live with type 1 and another condition where the vaccine recommendation is more complicated? Molly Schreiber lives with T1D and rheumatoid arthritis. Her doctors told her to absolutely NOT get a COVID vaccine due to treatment she was taking for the second condition. She was able to eventually get vaccinated then, despite taking precautions, she and her entire family got the Omicron variant. They’re fine now and Molly has a lot of good info to share. She also has several family members with type 1 and has a lot to say about how we care for older people with T1D. Molly works at the Community Manager for Savvy Coop.
