Yeshiva League Sports Update

Thanks Nachum! The first fall champion since 2019 has been crowned, and it's a familiar face in a familiar place. We'll recap the Boys Varsity Hockey Championship and set the stage for the next week in the Yeshiva League, straight ahead on the Tuesday Morning JM in the AM Sports Update, I'm Elliot Weiselberg. Varsity Hockey has its 2022 champion, and it just so happens to be the same team that won its last championship back in 2019, the Frisch Cougars. The West 2nd seed Frisch Cougars dominated their rivals, the West top seed TABC Storm 5-3 in BPY on Sunday night. The Cougars were able to overcome three one-goal deficits and a hat trick by Storm senior AJ Seplowitz with a team effort, putting home three goals in the final 6:13 of the game for the 5-3 victory. Senior Sam Weinberger earned MVP honors scoring two goals that bookended the Cougar effort. Junior Jacob Feit added two goals of his own.
