Welcome back to Actuali podcast! In this episode, I respond to the idea that humans are a disease, which Jason Mamoa, Aquaman, recently helped popularize at the recent UN Climate Conference. We further address the alarming rate of increase of anxiety, depression, and suicide, particularly among young people, and consider some of the more potentially detrimental language being thrown around today as response to environmental crisis. Specifically, we consider an alternative point of view to this suggestion that humanity is a mistake, a virus, or cancer to this world. And we consider instead, how we may be a light amidst the darkness. We also continue our inquiry into how integral a sense of the Sacred, a sense of wonder and awe is to our individual lives, as well as to the wider world.
