161. My Dad was a Modern Day Cowboy

Informações:

Sinopsis

My dad had many Remington statues like this one in his office. He loved the lure and legend of the cowboy. He lived in San Antonio in the late 1940’s early 1950’s and fell in love with horses, cowboys, ranch hands, roping and the people of the southwest. As he grew older he took a $.05 and walked to the Saturday matinee to see the likes of John Wayne, Randolph Scott and Gary Cooper clean up the west and triumph good over evil. His whole life he wore cowboy hats and boots. He was assigned to the 5th Army Calvary and even wore black cowboy boots with his Army uniform. He walked tall in those boots. He lived, loved and cherished the ideas of the cowboy. * Live each day with courage. ... * Take pride in your work. ... * Cowboys never quit. ... * Do what has to be done – and do it now, not after it's too late! ... * Be tough but be fair. ... * When you make a promise, keep it. ... * Actions speak louder than words. ... Thank you dad for giving me the ability to be a modern day cowboy. Miss ya. Your loving son. Eac
