Down To Watch

DTW is back again with some new shows that hit the big streamers;  This Fool over on Hulu, and Amazon finally released its tentpole show, A League of Their Own.   The guys really enjoyed the Hulu offering as it incorporates many Los Angeles-isms that the locals (like Raul) will get off on, but also brings the heart and the feels for its characters trying to live and thrive in an urban environment, which any and all audiences will be on board for.   Over at Amazon, the same cannot be said!  Abbi Jacobson has worked on this for the streamer since 2017 and after many delays (and what can be presumed to be infinite rewrite and reimagining's) creatively and societall unfortunately the juice just doesn't seem to be worth the squeeze AKA enough meat on that bone to really take a big bite out of a massive property based on a beloved film...not every property can or should be made into TV!!  Listen along as the guys give props and daps, but also some tough love for these "punk-ass bitch" shows! --- Send in a voice
