For years I have felt that HBCUs were getting the raw end of the deal with the NCAA. The public scream about keeping the college football traditions, well HBCUs have that in abundance. The legendary bands that play every weekend, the football classics that bring out the community, the college atmosphere in and around the sporting events.  HBCUs are everything college athletics was meant to be, and it is the perfect time for HBCUs to create their own league and govern themselves outside of the NCAA.
