In late September, of 2000, tonight’s guest, Chance Neidecker, went on a bow hunt, in Western Arkansas. Like he had done, several times before, he had his uncle drop him off at a creek that lead into Fort Chaffe. A military base, in Arkansas, that's been sitting unused, for years, but was being revamped, at the time. After walking about 2 miles in, Chance found a tree with a big elbow limb, about 10 feet off the ground. Thinking that would be a good place to hunt from, Chance climbed the tree, sat on the elbow limb, and waited. As Chance sat there, he observed all of the common forest animals he’d expect to see, deep in the woods, like that. It was a beautiful day and nothing was out of the ordinary. That is, until what he initially thought was the biggest wolf he’d ever seen stepped out of a nearby cane break and into full view.
