I thought parenting was something that had passed me by and truthfully I had never really felt like I missed something.I was happy with the life I had chosen and where it had all taken me.It was then I met a man who is kind and adds to my life in ways I could not imagine. The only caveat is he has a teenager that still lives at home.Who knew she would be such a gift. And I am so grateful for all she teaches me.Recently I found myself being triggered by things she was doing or not doing. And then I found myself acting more like my dad, a control freak of magnitude.I knew this wasn’t creating greater and yet I had the hardest time stopping because I was taught parents are supposed to have the answers and that we show we care through control.Well I don’t know about you, but I found out that doesn’t re
