Kazu is widely regarded as one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) special makeup effects artists of our time. We talk about his childhood in Japan, breaking into the Japanese film industry, starting his own FX shop, working with Akira Kurosawa, coming to America, working for Rick Baker, working with Gary Oldman on “Darkest Hour”, working with Charlize Theron on “Bombshell”, working with a difficult Jim Carey on The Grinch and lots of other behind the scenes film stories.
