Tennessee was up 28-10 early in the second quarter before Alabama scored 18 straight points. Despite two late turnovers, the Vols offense led by star quarterback Hendon Hooker responded every time the stakes were the highest, Hendon Hooker finished the game throwing for 385 passing yards, 5 touchdowns, one interception, and 56 rushing yards. The Crimson Tide still had a chance to win in the end but their 17 penalties and fourth-quarter fumbled punt ultimately to Tennessee upsetting Alabama 52-49. Michigan vs Penn State was one of College Football's biggest games going into week 7. Michigan however would win big 41-17 improving to 7-0 on the season. Penn State couldn't do much on offense, as the passing game struggled and freshman sensation Nich Singleton was held to just 19 yards rushing on 6 carries.
