My Friend Irma, originally broadcast September 27, 1948, The Professor lost his job. The Professor (Hans Conried) has lost his job at The Gypsy Tea Room. Irma gets the idea of opening a restaurant for the Professor, "The Cafe Kropotkin." Also Fibber McGee and Molly, originally broadcast September 27, 1954, Party Whine. Fibber has a bit of trouble trying to make a phone call.
