Clemson had 4 turnovers including one fumble in the red zone which Syracuse recovered and returned 90 yards for a touchdown. Clemson also benched quarterback DJ Uiagalelei in favor of true freshman Cade Klubnick, but what won the game for the Tigers was Will Shipley’s career performance rushing for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Tiger's defense also came up big in the 2nd half forcing the Syracuse offense to punt on all their offensive possessions in the 2nd half helping Clemson get the win. The LSU Tigers beat Ole Miss 45-20 at home, improving to 6-2. With this win, LSU goes into their bye week tied for first place in the SEC West. LSU after trailing 17-3 early in the second quarter, would end the game outscoring Ole Miss 42-3.
