Up next in the Meet the Wildcats series is a conversation with Kentucky freshman wing Jarred Vanderbilt. A hybrid forward out of Houston, Vanderbilt’s love of competition comes through in this interview. While some players may want to go somewhere where they can be the guy, Vanderbilt wants to play around other similar players knowing that it will only strengthen his own game. Among other things, hosts Metz Camfield and Brent Carney talk to Vanderbilt about wanting to play with Kevin Knox and PJ Washington, his love of Houston (and Whataburger), being coached in high school by a former Louisville basketball player and the impact his upbringing had on his basketball career.
