2022 African American Read-In

Informações:

Sinopsis

As Black History Month winds down, we share the college’s second African-American Read-In. This effort, spearheaded by Stephanie Mireku from the Office of Alumni Relations, is modeled on the National African American Read-in created in 1990 by the National Council of Teachers of English. Members of the Friar community were invited to read excerpts from African American literature, poetry, and songs. Due to the audio nature of a podcast, we removed a dance performance by Sokeo Ross ’20G, which can be viewed on Facebook and YouTube. Read-in participants include: ᐧ Dr. Wanda Ingram '75ᐧ Nedzer Erilus '03ᐧ Rev. Augustine Reisenauer, O.P.ᐧ Amie Mbye '18ᐧ The Honorable Melissa DuBose, Esq.
