We explore some cinematic history covering a few iterations of the Magnificent Seven and Seven Samurai story that starts out fairly libertarian, but each iteration gets less and less so. We talk a bit about private law, non-state justice systems, the myth of the robber barons and how the west wasn’t actually so wild.
