Sinopsis

We return this week to an episode recorded during lockdown. Dr Norah Fogarty, a new group leader at the Centre for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine at King's College London, is interviewed by PhD student Geraldine Jowett. Norah discusses her work on the development of the trophectoderm in the human embryo, which is the progenitor of early placental cells. She talks about how this work aims to further our understanding of human embryo development and early pregnancy loss, and may in the future lead to advances in assisted reproductive treatments.
