I’m afraid the Spielberg’s adaptation did not do it justice to me, the book is far better on so many levels, if only for not having Short Circuit and the Monty Pytons, I guess It was too hard to get all the licensing rights for the movie. Her children were taken from her because she was a prostitute for only 5 weeks to live because she had to leave her abusive partner, and then she was killed by their father. This is one of the most poignant documentaries I watch
