In this episode, Pete and Sam are joined by SOS writer Robert Irby to preview the first six opponents on the Hokies 2024 football schedule - Vanderbilt, Marshall, Old Dominion, Rutgers, Miami, and Stanford. How will Tech fare? The boys are optimistic!

The ACC Kickoff started on Monday with comments from Commissioner Jim Phillips, and continued Tuesday with the arrival of Hokies Head Coach Brent Pry, QB1 Kyron Drones, DE Antwaun Powell-Ryland, and CB Dorian Strong. Pete and Sam discuss everything that was said down in Charlotte before breaking down the annual preview mag from forecasting legend Phil Steele. 

Clark Ruhland joins Pete and Sam to discuss the release and reception of Virginia Tech's new football uniforms. With so much anticipation, it was going to be hard for the new threads to live up to the hype, right? Well they did just that! The boys dive deep into every detail of the unis before turning their attention to some other fun topics, including the reason for the "leak" - College Football 25.

Micah Matthews is a 2025 recruit we've had our eye on for a while now. On Wednesday night, he made his college decision official, choosing the Hokies over UVA, UNC, and Utah. The dual-sport, 4-star Matthews will play football AND baseball at VT. Needless to say, it's a massive get for both staffs. Pete and Sam went live to break down the commitment, talk about Micah's rankings, his potential in each sport, and bring you up to speed on how the 2025 class is looking after the big news. The boys also discuss Tech's uniform tease and the 7/12/24 expected release, as well as the CFB 25 player ratings that just came out.

The commitments just keep on coming for the Hokies. Pete and Sam get you up to date on the latest 2025 pledges before discussing some EA Sports' rankings for College Football 25.

Pete hosted a variety of guests while watching the first round of the NBA Draft on Wednesday night. The boys give pick-by-pick analysis, react to both the Wizards and Hornets' French selections, and provide some Hokies Hoops talk as they move through the lottery.

It's been a great week for the Hokies on the recruiting trail. The staff has landed four commitments since we last recorded with more, potentially, on the way. Pete and Sam break down the additions and discuss how the class is shaping up overall.

Despite the Virginia Tech related news slowing to a trickle, the boys are pumped for the beginning of Preview Mag season. Pete and Sam tear into the Lindy's preview after talking about the recently released kickoff times for Vandy, ODU, and Marshall.

Sam is back from vacation and there's plenty to catch up on. Baseball and softball fell off a cliff, but some transfer talk quickly changes the tenor of this episode. Later in the show, the boys get into Bill Connelly's newest SP+ rankings before turning their attention to the ACC slate for 2024. With 17 conference teams, there are more games than ever to get excited about.

As finals wrap up across the country, we are reaching the slowest part of the offseason. Nevertheless, Pete and Sam are back to get you up to date on all the latest from Hahn Hurst, Merryman, English Field, etc. After hitting all the sports, the guys discuss Sam’s personal ACC power rankings.

It's draft day! Round 1 of the NFL draft starts tonight, and Pete and Sam are going live to talk Hokies as they follow along. The guys will get you up to date on VT's scholarship numbers and who they're targeting in the portal. They're also going to discuss which of our current players could be taken in next year's NFL draft.

Spring game weekend, or as it's known locally, Hokie Hi Weekend, is a celebration of Hokies athletics. In addition to the football program, so many of our teams are in action and being showcased - making it one of the best weekends on the VT calendar. In this episode, Pete and Sam chat with Coach Mike Holmes of the Hokie Hitter YouTube series. Mike provided great insight on the standout performances, offensive and defensive schemes, as well as position battles. His perspective, as a coach, was refreshing. This is a can't miss episode for any Hokie football junkie.

The second annual Spring Game Pregame Show was a blast! Two Deep, Boundary Corner, Tales from the Terrordome, VT4L, Treadmill Horse, Main Street Pharmacy, and, of course, the Sons of Saturday came together to break down every aspect of Hokies football prior to the 2024 VT Spring Game. Segments 1 & 2 were more business-like, getting into the nuts and bolts of the roster and the game. Segment 3 was a different story - Jeremy and the boys were letting it fly and hilarity ensued. Kolby Crawford from VT Scoop and 247 Sports joined Pete and Sam to discuss everything that's been going on at Hokies Spring practice. It was an action-packed weekend for Hokies athletics. Our ladies were in action hosting the NCAA tournament, our wrestlers were battling for championships out in Kansas City, and our football program got a boost on the recruiting trail. Pete was joined by Mike McDaniel to get you up to speed on everything VT, and provide some perspective on the run Kenny Brooks and the women's basketball team have put together these past few years.
