Everyone loves a great Christmas story! Well, the original Christmas story – the story of the birth of Jesus – is told a few different ways in the Bible. One version is very abstract – written like a passage of philosophy or theology, another is kind of hardcore – described through the metaphor of an epic battle, and then another is what we would call “traditional” – the humble story of a King born in a quiet corner of the world and placed in a manger.

Every year at this time, Momentum takes a look back at some of the movies released in the past year and sees what lessons God has to teach us from them.

For a few weeks we talk about some of the hottest flicks in the industry and ask, “What can the best writers, actors, and directors teach us about loving God and loving people?” Why? Because God has a way of sneaking His story into just about every plot. History is full of stories of spiritual studs amazing ladies who demonstrated guts, took risk, and obeyed their God at all costs. Their stories remind us that our lives are very short.
