Christmas in a Different Genre: A Harcore Christmas
15/12/2013 Duración: 46minEveryone loves a great Christmas story! Well, the original Christmas story – the story of the birth of Jesus – is told a few different ways in the Bible. One version is very abstract – written like a passage of philosophy or theology, another is kind of hardcore – described through the metaphor of an epic battle, and then another is what we would call “traditional” – the humble story of a King born in a quiet corner of the world and placed in a manger.

Seven Churches: The Church in Laodicea
01/12/2013 Duración: 44minRevelation might easily be the most mysterious and intriguing book of the Bible. To kick-start the book* Jesus directly addresses seven First-Century churches and, in a straight-shooting fashion, gives them a report card of how they are doing. To some churches – Jesus has nothing but praise. To others – nothing but correction. And yet others – a mix of “Here’s how you are knockin’ it out of the park!” and “Here’s where you need to get it in gear.” For a Twenty-First Century reader or church – these seven messages have a sweet mix of symbolism, metaphor, historical context, and present-day application. “What would Jesus say to Momentum?” “What would Jesus say to me?” “What would he say to the His followers – collectively – in Greater Cleveland?”
