Oliver's campaign starts an initiative to clean up the Star City bay. Darhk sends a drone to the bay and begins shooting at the citizens helping, injuring several. In response, Oliver and his team decide to call out Darhk as the leader of the Ghosts and H.I.V.E. to the local media. In retaliation, Darhk crashes Oliver's campaign holiday party and kidnaps Diggle, Felicity, and Thea. After failing to get any information from Darhk's soldiers, Oliver makes contact and agrees to exchange himself for them. Darhk tricks Oliver, and attempts to kill them all in front of him. Malcolm, dressed as Green Arrow, and Laurel arrive and rescue everyone. Afterward at the campaign holiday party, Oliver proposes to Felicity, who accepts. As they leave, Darhk sends his men after Oliver again, who shoot up Oliver's limo and hit Felicity. In flashbacks, Oliver returns to the ship the Amazo to acquire more maps of the island, but when he returns he is discovered by Conklin.

Mark Mardon breaks James Jesse and Leonard Snart out of Iron Heights in an effort to team up to kill the Flash. Snart declines and warns Barry as repayment for him saving Snart's sister. When Patty learns Mardon is back in the city, she sets out to take revenge against Mardon for killing her father years earlier. Jesse and Mardon place bombs hidden in Christmas gifts throughout the city, threatening to set them off in family homes if Barry does not sacrifice himself. Wells, Cisco, and Jay find one of the bombs and alter its magnetic polarity; they send it into one of the dimensional breaches, which causes it to attract the remaining bombs, removing them from the city. With them gone, Barry subdues Mardon and Jesse. Patty arrives ready to kill Mardon, but Barry as the Flash talks her out of it. Meanwhile, Joe learns that his ex-wife was pregnant when she left and that he has an adult son named Wally, who later shows up at Joe's house. Elsewhere, Zoom visits Wells and agrees to release his daughter if Wells hel

The fight with Red Tornado leaves Kara helpless without her powers. During an earthquake she attempts to help James and Winn, while the events allow the alien Jemm to break out of his cell and face off against Alex and Hank, who is later revealed to be a benevolent alien refugee, J'onn J'onzz. Hank explains to Alex what happened to her father, that he saved him from the real Henshaw (who tried to kill him) and made a promise to watch over his daughter. Kara is later attacked by Astra and her assistants.

mmortal Vandal Savage searches for Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall, two metahumans who have existed for 4000 years, currently being hidden by Oliver, Barry, and their respective teams. Malcolm orchestrates a meeting between Savage, Barry, and Oliver. Savage demands they turn over Kendra and Carter, or he will destroy both Central City and Star City with the Staff of Horus. They devise a plan to deliver the pair as a ruse to get close enough to destroy the staff. The plan fails; Kendra and Carter are killed and Savage uses the staff to destroy everyone else in the city. Barry escapes and runs fast enough to go back in time to the point of the original negotiation with Savage. Barry informs Oliver of his time travel, so they change their approach to their plan. They deliver Kendra and Carter again, but with everyone's help Barry is able to steal the staff. He and Oliver use it on Savage, destroying his body. Afterward, Kendra and Carter decide to use their powers to help others in another city. Meanwhile, Olive

Vandal Savage arrives in Central City looking to kill Priestess Shayera, who turns out to be Kendra, though she is not aware of it at first. Barry goes to Star City and enlists the help of Oliver and his team to protect Kendra until they can stop Savage. The team is visited by Malcolm Merlyn who informs them that Savage is an immortal who cannot be stopped. Later, Kendra is kidnapped by a winged man, but is rescued by Barry and Oliver who capture her captor. The man is Carter Hall, who tells them he was Prince Khufu in ancient Egypt and that he and Kendra are soulmates who have been connected for 4,000 years. The pair are destined to die, be reborn, and find each other in each lifetime. Carter also reveals that Vandal has killed them the last 206 lifetimes, each time growing stronger. Vandal locates the Staff of Horus, a weapon capable of killing Carter and Kendra, in Central City. After Kendra unlocks her abilities, the team decides to regroup in Central City to take down Vandal for good. Meanwhile, Caitlin

Anger issues surface for multiple characters, including Kara. Cat's mother, Katherine Grant, arrives. Lois Lane's father, Sam Lane arrives. Red Tornado arrives, challenges Kara, is bested by her but leaves her weakened. It is discovered that Hank Henshaw was the last to see Jeremiah Danvers alive.

James Gordon wakes in Edward Nygma's house only to learn from Oswald Cobblepot that he is now a fugitive from the law for assaulting Theo Galavan and never returning to the GCPD despite a documented arrest. Gordon and Cobblepot begin making plans to break into Theo's residence and save Bruce Wayne. After being questioned by Barnes on Gordon's whereabouts, Leslie secretly learns of Gordon's location from Nygma. After finding Gordon, Leslie attempts to persuade him to turn himself to the GCPD by informing him that she is pregnant. Nygma informs Alfred and Bullock of Gordon's location. Gordon, Bullock, Alfred, Selina Kyle, Cobblepot and his gang all arrive at Galavan's residence just as the Order of Saint Dumas is about to kill Bruce. During a clash between the Order and Cobblepot's gang in which the Order is defeated, Theo, Tabitha, and Silver St. Cloud begin to make their escape. Kara must protect National City from a series of bombings and babysit Cat's son, while James is visited by Lucy Lane.

Bruce and Silver are kidnapped by the Knife, where he manipulates Silver into revealing the name of Bruce's parents' killer after being paid by Bruce and Selina. However, this proves to be a fake name. Gordon and Bullock track down a monk and learn that the son of Gotham shall die. Galavan is released after Mayor James' statement that Galavan did not kidnap him, framing Penguin instead. Gordon is captured by Theo, but is rescued by Penguin. Alfred grows suspicious of Bruce's whereabouts and searches Theo's apartment, where he is wounded by Tabitha. Theo breaks into Wayne Manor and kidnaps Bruce.

H.I.V.E. continues to attack parts of the city, most recently destroying money meant for the city bank. Diggle gives Oliver information that H.I.V.E. murdered his brother Andy because he was criminal competition. The team heads to the research lab to locate a chemical they believe is being used by H.I.V.E. The team is attacked by Darhk's group, and Diggle discovers that Andy is still alive and working for H.I.V.E. The team tries to get Diggle to recognize the positive, but he refuses to see Andy as anything more than a traitor and unworthy of saving. The team believes Andy is being mind-controlled and locate him and the rest of H.I.V.E. The team successfully extracts Andy with help from Ray and his ATOM suit. After an encounter with Darhk, Thea learns that his powers may help cure her bloodlust permanently, after Darhk failed to drain the lifeforce from Thea.

Barry manages to recover following his fight with Zoom, but is unable to use his powers due to the psychological trauma of Zoom exposing his beating to the city. Iris reaches out to Henry Allen, who returns to the city to help Barry overcome his fears. Cisco has a date with Kendra Saunders, but leaves after seeing a winged man in one of his vibes. Grodd returns, using scientists to steal various chemicals in the hopes of creating more gorillas with his level of intelligence. He later kidnaps Caitlin to help him with his plan. The team dress Wells up as the Reverse Flash in order to trick Grodd into thinking that his "father" is still alive. The plan works long enough for Wells to rescue Caitlin before they both escape. After Barry is fully recovered, they lure Grodd to one of the dimensional breaches and send him to a jungle sanctuary for gorillas that have been experimented on in Earth-2. Later, Cisco meets Kendra again, this time vibing and seeing Kendra as the winged figure.

After fighting an alien escapee, Kara arrives to Alex's apartment to meet their mother, Eliza Danvers for Thanksgiving and invites Winn. CatCo's shock jock, Leslie Willis is demoted by Cat to traffic reporting after a controversial bashing on Supergirl. During a severe thunderstorm, Supergirl tries to save Leslie, but a lightning struck them both, imbuing Leslie with both electrical and magnetic powers and taking the name "Livewire". Livewire tries to take revenge on Cat, but eventually Supergirl stops her and she is imprisoned at DEO. At Alex's apartment, Eliza reveals to her daughters that years ago their father, Dr. Jeremiah Danvers, offers himself up to work for Hank Henshaw for Kara's safety and then died mysteriously, leading the girls to become suspicious of Henshaw.

Tabitha goes to an underground killer agency and pays to have James Gordon assassinated. Bruce tries to get information about his parent's killer from Silver, but is stopped by Alfred, who orders Silver to stay away from Bruce. When Bruce tries to sneak out, he is stopped by Selina, who claims she has evidence that Silver is not who she claims to be. Gordon and Barnes investigate Theo's condo for evidence. The killers arrive; however, Gordon and Barnes manage to fend them off, but Barnes is severely injured. Police reinforcements arrive, but are eliminated by another hired killer named Eduardo Flamingo. Gordon is able to arrest Flamingo, but not before Flamingo kills another officer. Meanwhile, Edward Nygma persuades Oswald Cobblepot to move on from the death of his mother, and the both of them kill one of Theo's kidnapped henchmen in celebration. The religious sect of the Galavan family arrives in Gotham City.

As Oliver works on his campaign, Felicity continues searching for Ray with the help of Curtis Holt. Ray is able to send a new message, letting Felicity know that he survived the explosion because his suit successfully shrank him down to the size of a pea, that he is being held prisoner, and where to find the schematics to build a device to return him to his right size. In a second message, Felicity discovers that Darhk is the responsible for imprisoning Ray, hoping to get the technology from his suit. As Curtis works on the device, Darhk threatens to hurt Felicity if Ray does not give up his technology willingly. The team tracks Darhk to his hideout and with the device created by Curtis they successfully save and restore Ray. Meanwhile, Sara struggles with the bloodlust and decides to leave Star City to gain control. In flashbacks, Reiter sends Oliver on a search for another ancient ruin that is supposed to yield a "gift" for Reiter.

As the team works to find a way to stop Zoom, Doctor Light escapes from her containment cell after Barry was hoping that she would help them stop Zoom. Instead, her Earth-1 counterpart, Linda Park, agrees to help the team by impersonating Doctor Light. Dr. Wells creates a speed dampening serum and the team stages a fight at one of the breaches in order to trick Zoom through. The attempt fails as Zoom knew what they were attempting. Instead, he goes after Linda before fighting Barry. Zoom is much faster and easily bests Barry, showing his defeated, unconscious body to the local news and the police station, before ultimately returning to S.T.A.R. Labs. Zoom stabs Barry with his hand, but Cisco shoots him with the serum, which hurts Zoom but still leaves him with enough speed to escape. Later, Wells reveals that Zoom has his daughter Jesse and he came to Earth-1 to stop Zoom. Barry wakes from his injuries and discovers that he can no longer feel his legs.

During the interview with Cat, Supergirl accidentally reveals that she is Superman's cousin. Supergirl is later attacked by Reactron, who seeks to kill her in order to get his revenge on Superman, but she manages to send him fleeing. He later goes to LORD Technology labs and kidnaps Maxwell Lord to get him to fix his suit. Kara later learns that a reactor meltdown Superman stopped in the past killed Reactron's wife, thus explaining the vendetta. She goes to Reactron's hideout and manages to save Maxwell Lord, only to get badly injured by Reactron afterwards, but Superman comes to save her. She gets mad at James, who called Superman for help, as she didn't want to rely on the Man of Steel. During a party Cat organized, Reactron breaks in to find Supergirl. While James distracts Reactron, Supergirl covers her hand in lead so that she can use it to safely remove the power core in Reactron's suit and defeat him. It is later revealed that James has an ex-fiance, Lucy Lane, who came to National City to patch up the

Galavan sends Barbara after Jim Gordon, while he tries to make a business deal with Bruce Wayne. Barnes and Bullock are hot on Barbara’s trail, and Nygma has a run-in with a familiar face in the all-new “Rise of the Villains: Tonight’s the Night” episode of GOTHAM

Oliver discovers Sara is alive when he investigates recent murders. With Felicity's help, they determine that Sara, who is still not herself, is looking for Thea and plans to kill her. Sara attacks Thea, who manages to escape. Later, the team captures Sara and Oliver calls an old friend, John Constantine, to help restore Sara's soul. Meanwhile, Darhk gives Captain Lance a new task to install a computer virus in a security company. Diggle goes along and sees his brother's name among the list of individuals being deleted by the virus. Later, Felicity learns that Ray is still alive, and Diggle learns that his brother was killed because he was a drug cartel leader. In flashbacks, Conklin brings Oliver to Reiter, who dismisses Oliver as a spy. Instead, he introduces them to recent captive John Constantine, who escapes and forces Oliver to help him locate a mystical object on the island. After, John warns Oliver after Reiter's real plans, and uses the object to cast a spell on Oliver for his protection.

The team meets the Earth-2 Harrison Wells, who is responsible for the creation of the metahumans and Zoom of his Earth. Despite his attitude, Wells plans to help Barry's team stop Zoom and his metahumans. At the same time, a thief from Earth-2 named Doctor Light arrives and starts robbing banks. Jay tells Barry that she can be reasoned with, and it works until Barry recognizes her as the Earth-2 version of Linda Park. Later, Light attempts to kill Linda and take over her life, but accidentally kills Linda's boss and is foiled by Barry's team in the process. Wells reveals Cisco's metahuman powers to the team, which Cisco uses to locate Doctor Light. Barry defeats her using a speed mirage technique that was suggested by Wells. After locking Light up, they plan to use her to lure Zoom and defeat him for good. Jay, who does not trust Wells, thinks it is too dangerous and leaves the team. Back on Earth-2, it is revealed that Zoom has Wells' daughter captive.
