Grant Gunderson has established himself as one of the ski industry's all time great photographers. Fuelled by a insatiable love for skiing an unique need for creativity, he's spent the last 25+ years showing us the best of what skiing can be. Grant opens up about the events of last season's tragic avalanche in Japan that took the lives of Kyle Smaine and Christoph Schöfegger. He explains the difficulty of how such a traumatic event has affected how he views the sport he loves so much. Ski Photographer Andrew Chad has a unique approach to his craft.  You could possibly call it the no plan, plan. Alex Hall is an Olympic Gold Medalist for the USA in Slopestyle.  Last year, most of his winter season was spent travelling and competing with the national team.  He managed to find the time to connect with his friend, Hunter Hess, to produce the third instalment of their award winning ski film series, Magma.   Alex tells us that dedication to the project can sometimes come at the expense of family holidays, but in the end, is absolutely worth it. Introducing Marcus Goguen and Wei Tien Ho, two of the most exciting, up and coming big mountain skiers in the scene.  The two Whistler locals have been friends since they were kids and are now starting to make their names known, not only through their impressive feats displayed on their instagram feeds but also in competition.  Marcus proved himself after receiving a wild card on the FWT this season and Wei Tien earned a spot on tour next year, qualifying through the Challenger tour. The guys are also very skilled mountain bikers. Jeremie Heitz is following in the footsteps of the first real ski mountaineering pioneers from the Alps. We talk about his landmark film La Liste and those mentors that allowed him to take skiing those lines to the next level. Included are the Falquet brothers who brought him into the world of ski films and how close they still are to this day. Heitz talks about his YouTube series, “Daily Routine”, a self filmed endeavour following his adventures around the Alps and if becoming a Red Bull athlete and the resources that come with that have had much of an influenced in the way he approaches his projects.  He also tells us about creating his pro model skis, his biggest crash on the Freeride World Tour career as well as his planned mission to ski Mt.
