The purpose of the five fold ministry is to mature us, to bring us into the fullness of the stature of Christ, to measure up to the full and complete standard of Christ. This is the mission of our ministry. No to tickle your ears with half truths, but to equip you and encourage you to go on to maturity. In short to take you from the milk of the word to solid food.

God wants all of humanity to be like Christ. He is the perfect example and representation of what all men should be like and He is the Standard by which all men will be judged. God in His infinite wisdom made it possible through the sacrifice of Jesus for all mankind to be conformed to the image of His Son.

God’s ultimate purpose for us is not to be happy, or comfortable, or even prosperous, but to be conformed to the image of His Son. Romans 8:29 (NKJV) “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” This is God's ultimate purpose! This is the big picture. For this cause, the cause of being conformed to the image of Christ, we can rise from our bed every single day with anticipation and excitement to what Christ will do through us.

Using Ancient Japanese ceramic styles and techniques to illustrate both: a) the Corinthian Church’s tainted expectation of what Paul an Apostle should be like, and b) Paul’s striking response to them. Giving further elaboration to Paul’s emphatic rebuttal of their errant views. My purpose in metaphorically contrasting these opposing views on what an Apostle (or any follower of Jesus) should be like, is to reveal to how beautiful our brokenness is in the hands of our Heavenly Father. Speak the Word, meditate in it day and night, observe and do what the Word says, and then you will make your way prosperous and have good success.

The purpose of this teaching is to help us understand the importance of being thoroughly equipped through the Word of God for every good work the Lord has assigned us to do.

The life of Christ within us brings with it a change of mind, a change of attitude, a change of dreams and desires, and a change of purpose. He brings with him a newness of life based on the righteousness of God. This change is so radical, extreme, and fundamental.

The Christ life is a life of service and sacrifice. It is a life devoted to the will and the purposes of God. There is no room in the Christ life for selfish dreams and ambitions. There is no room for self preservation.
