Part 6 of the series on Christ's mission and identity is a discussion of Jesus as the good shepherd. As his sheep, we are called to a nomadic life, but He promises to lead us if we will follow His voice.

In week 5 of this series on the mission and identity of Christ, Pastor Jake discussed Jesus' role as the light of the world. Just like the church in Thyatira, we live in a world full of darkness, but Jesus has the answer for us, and He wants us to step out of the darkness into His light.

In this fourth week of the series on the identity and mission of Christ, Jake discussed how Jesus is the bread of life. The church in Pergamum was compromising their standards to conform to their culture, but Jesus offered them a lasting gift that He still offers all who will accept!

Part three of the “I AM” series discusses Jesus’ role as the resurrection and the life. Pastor Jake described the interaction between Martha and Jesus shortly after Lazarus died as well as the words that John sent to the church at Smyrna, and the life altering truth that comes from having a Savior that is the Resurrection and the Life.

In part two of our discussion of the mission and identity of Christ, Pastor Jake discusses Jesus’ role as the Vine, his followers as the branches, and God as the vinedresser, and how Jesus’ love pouring into his followers is the true source of life.

In the first sermon of a new series: “I AM”, Pastor Jake lays the groundwork for a 7-week discussion about the mission and identity of Jesus. As we look forward to the Christmas season, we will discuss the importance of who Christ is, and how his attributes should impact our daily lives.

Guest speaker Bill Spencer teaches on the importance of understanding our Identity in Christ. In this sermon we explore the discrepancies in Ruth and Boaz’s views of who Ruth was, and how these differences mirror how we see ourselves in contrast to how God sees us.

In this week’s sermon, Pastor Jake finishes the study through the Book of Ruth with Part 6 “Hold Fast to the Redeemer.” As we finish this series, we see the importance of holding on to our redeemer with open hands. We also take a look at the redemption found in the story of Job, to better grasp the unfailing and unending hope and grace that our redeemer gives to us even in our most difficult times if we allow Him.

In this week’s sermon, Pastor Jake continues a study through the Book of Ruth with Part 5 “Hold Fast to the Promise.” Today we are exploring the first several verses of Ruth chapter 4, as Boaz gets to work redeeming Naomi’s land and arranging to take Ruth as his bride. In this passage we see a picture of Jesus’ love for us, and how He works to redeem our lives in the midst of a broken world.

In this week’s sermon, Pastor Jake continues a study through the Book of Ruth with Part 4 “Hold Fast to Rest.” We explore the story of Naomi instructing Ruth to seek the covering of Boaz. We learn that the way to receive the rest Jesus has for us is to walk in humility by listening, obedience, vulnerability, boldness, and trusting.

In this week’s sermon, Pastor Jake continues a study through the Book of Ruth with Part 3 “Hold Fast to Grace.” We explore the story of Ruth gleaning in the fields of Boaz, and learn how it is a reflection of God’s grace in our lives, as His providence, protection, and provision are made available to us

This week Pastor Jake continues a study through the Book of Ruth with Part 2 “Hold Fast to God’s People.” In today’s sermon we will explore three characters, Naomi and her two daughters-in-law Ruth and Orpah, and what we can learn from them about friendship. Enjoy!

This week Pastor Jake starts a new series titled “Holdfast” a study through the Book of Ruth. In Part 1: “Holdfast to the King” we will explore what happens when we find ourselves in a season of famine. We need to watch out for the temptation of trying to get fed apart from God’s place and God’s people, because when we do it can lead to much loss and bitter disappointment. However, when we do find ourselves lost along the way, the good news is that Jesus will go to great lengths to bring us back home again.
