Bucs Nation: For Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fans

A week three showdown in the City of Angels is on tap for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Trey Downey and Len Martez were back to preview it for you. Before looking ahead to a possible NFC Championship match-up the guys looked back one last time at week two's game against Atlanta. The guys questioned whether the defensive struggles against Atlanta are now becoming alarming for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The guys then discussed the roller coaster of a player that is Ronald Jones. Trey and Len then pondered if the early success of Rob Gronkowski is now something that Bucs fans can expect every week.  Then it was time to move on to the game of the week. Trey and Len discussed the likely possibility that Antonio Brown and Jason Pierre-Paul both being able to suit up against the Rams and how that impacts the gameplan. The preview then turned to how the Rams might try to attack the Bucs defense and which Bucs receiver Jalen Ramsey might line up against.  Finally, the guys looked ahead at the full slate of week 3 games.

Week 2 and the start of the divisional slate is what awaits the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday. Trey Downey and Len Martez were back with you once again to preview the Atlanta Falcons coming to Tampa Bay. Trey started off the show by explaining what impressed him about Atlanta in their week 1 loss to the Eagles. As the conversation progressed the guys explained why the Bucs are such a bad match-up for what the Falcons currently do well. The gents then discussed what they expect from Ronald Jones as he is getting the start at running back after being benched against the Cowboys. Len then calmed Trey's worries about the Bucs possibly looking ahead to their week 3 showdown with the Los Angeles Rams. The conversation then turned to the other storylines from week 1 as the guys discussed and debated what they saw from the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints in their victories. Trey rolled solo again on this week's edition of Downey and Martez to discuss the Buccaneers losing to the Tennessee Titans in their 2nd preseason game. It was a battle of good news versus bad news in discussing that game. Downey started off the show on the negative side and looked at Kyle Trask's performance and the decision to once again have him get playing time after Ryan Griffin. Trey then discussed the rough night for OJ Howard and looked at why he needs to turn around things quickly. The first day of full pads in training camp for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is complete & so is the latest edition of the Downey & Martez podcast. Trey & Len started the podcast by acknowledging the joy loyal fans now have with being able to attend training camp this year as opposed to last year & being a part of a fan base for a team that not only made the playoffs last year to end a playoff drought but is the reigning, defending Super Bowl champions.
