Osmcast! Anime, Video Games, Interviews, And More!

It’s a veritable two for one interview bonanza here on the OSMcast as we interview not one, but _two _awesome voice actors at once while we were hanging out at this year’s MTAC. Travis is probbaly best known for his work as Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist: (Nazi-verse as well as the superior Brotherhood persuasion) and Guile from Street Fighter IV. Not be out done, Laura played the role of Lust in the Fullmetal Moneymakers as well as Chun-li fom Street Fighter IV.

Hulu has lots of things on it, that you can watch. Like House of Five Leaves. You should watch that. It's pretty great. What’s this?! A new podcast? INDEED IT IS! And lo and behold, it’s another roundtable episode! We had some really good feedback the last time we did it, so we’ve decided to keep doing them whenever we think up a topic we can round about at a table. So we decided to finally dust off our interview from Ohayocon 10 and present to you The Life and Times of Carl Gustav Horn, Dark Horse’s most baddass manga editor. the man has worked on such titles as the manga version of Neon Genesis Evangelion, The Shinji Ikari Raising Project, Clover, and others. He talks to us on how he got started in the industry, he thoughts on the importance of buying anime and manga in the US, and more. The name says it all, really. With summer comes summer movies. Comic book movies. We tend to like both these things so we have a podcast for people who like comic book movies. In particular this go-around, Kick -Ass! PROMO: Anime82! Host, mad-man, genius Regan Strongblood had a dream. He would talk about anime, and then get a bunch of other podcasters to talk about anime on his same show. The results, they are substantial. Spike Spencer What’s this?! A bonus episode out of nowhere?! Say it ain’t so! This podcast about the movie adaptation of the manga both written and directed by Katsuhiro Otomo is _both _multi-faceted _and _enjoyable no matter what the circumstances might be! It’s not like this movie hasn’t been talked to death or anything! OSMnotes So after recording this podcast and looking where one might want to pick this movie up, we discovered that while the Blu-ray edition is plentiful and can be bought most anywhere, Bandai (via their Honneamise label) never bothered to release an equivalent DVD version.

Chances are, if you are looking up from the ground at this man... You're already toast. After talking about Black Lion and Brutal Legend we felt, “Why stop here?” So we decided to watched what on it’s DVD box cover proclaims as “The most violent, action packed animated film of all time!” And that is the 1986 anime film adaptation of Fist of the North Star by Tetsuo Hara and Buronson. OSMnotes Savvy shoppers can find this DVD pretty easily for around $20-25. If you want to watch the TV show, you can stream it. All 152 episodes. And from what we hear, it is very entertaining. As long as people exploding in amazing fashion along with equally amazing 80’s fashion is your thing (How can that NOT?!}. You may also consider on picking up Nostalgia, if the idea of a classic turn-based J-RPG on the go sounds appealing to you. Which you _should _find compelling, because it’s awesome. You want to talk Brutal? I had to edit this in Paint. Makes it all jaggy and shit. While a day late and a dollar short, the OSMcast_!_ returns with some _slightly _less than hot off the presses podcasting action! Since the latest season of anime hitting Japan pretty much blows, we’ve discovered that we’ve ended up playing a lot more video games than usual!  So we took the whole Moment of OSM/Whatcha Been Playing segment into the entire podcast. ISN’T THIS EXCITING!?! In the end we talk the most about Brutal Legend, but we cover the bases from Uncharted 2 to Phantasy Star IV and a whole bunch inbetween. Old, new, we don’t care! OSMnotes This was supposed to have shown up on the 19th, sure. But Basil’s flash drive died. So we had to find another way to transfer the files (Which ended up being a new flash drive).  Then Basil installed Windows 7! Which means all his programs went bye bye and he didn’t realize quite what all that meant until he had to upload and format the podcast for publiscation and stuff. So y
