In View of God's Mercy - Week 2
21/08/2022 Duración: 34minThis week, Lead Pastor Matt Dean continues in Romans 1:16-2:11. He asks, "what is our response to these passages in view of the mercy of God?". 1. We humble ourselves. I am sinful, not just you. We are sinful – not just “they are sinful.” I need Jesus; you need Jesus; they need Jesus. Help me remember the Gospel as I help you remember the Gospel – and together, we have been given this ministry to proclaim this Gospel to the ends of the earth. 2. Remember, God is grieved by sin – but never defined by sin. Jesus took on our sin, our punishment for sin – but only by choice, only by love. God is the definition and standard of what is right, good, and Holy. So any human endeavor to redefine what God has defined and designed is simply a further indication that debased thinking is misdirected worship. 3. When we see people living in ways outside of God’s design, we should first be humble and remember that we are not responsible for other people’s choices, but we are responsible for how we live and how we love

In View of God's Mercy - Week 1
14/08/2022 Duración: 31minThis week Lead Pastor Matt Dean begins a new series in the book of Romans entitled In View of God's Mercy. Each week, we are asking the question, in view of God’s mercy – what is our whole-life response to Jesus? As we study through this series, our prayer is that we would see that the gospel must not live only in our heads, but it must take over our hearts and motivate concrete action in our lives as well.

Be weary of those you listen to that they are not false teachers. Stand aware and study to know that the truth you believe in is the truth that saves.

A Living Hope - Week 8
24/07/2022 Duración: 32minThis week Executive Pastor Lee Cadden teaches through 2 Peter 1. He tells us of the theme of 2 Peter - Your Holiness in Hardship matters, and is possible, in Christ. He ends with these questions: - What cleverly devised myths are you prone to believe? About yourself? About others? - What have you forgotten today that Jesus would have you remember? - You have been given the gift of faith → are you supplementing it with virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love? - Are you living with eternity in mind? Peter was. Did he fail? Sure. but as he got closer, his gaze remained on Christ. - Do you live as a pilgrim or a resident? A pilgrim assumes he is still on a journey, and this land is not home. A resident settles in and assimilates. Disciples are always pilgrims, and Jesus is the way.
