God said, “Let there be Joe.” And here I am! By God’s Word I grow and become what God wants. By the Word my faith becomes stronger! If God’s Word is life-giving and formative, we’d be fools not to want it more!

Prayers can be songs and songs can be prayers. God’s people have sung, and prayed, for a world of opportunity. And God loves to answer these kinds of prayers! He inspired them by His promises.

Ever been through an earthquake? How about a churchquake? God has the ride of your life in store. God wants to move you to a whole new prayer life.

Have you ever worried about someone? Ha! Who hasn’t? Worry is a good indicator that we care. That's a start! When care germinates, it leads somewhere. You’ll be surprised with the company you’ll keep when you care.

Have you ever been afraid of what God wants you to do? Ever want to run away from God’s will for you--to pursue your own plan? What are we talking about here? Not what you think. But we need to talk to God about one of the biggest aversions we all have when it comes to His plan for our lives.

Is persistence irritating or the key to success? Well, no one ever finished by quitting. What about prayer? Is there ever too much? This week we will look at the persistent widow and what Jesus thinks about perseverance and determination.

Yes, or no? “Maybe” doesn’t work. So which one are you? Yes, or no? Jesus went toe-to-toe with people who said yes, but lived no. Thank God we’re not like those people, right? Maybe?

We are all given a certain amount of “stuff” that is ours to work with. The uses may be varied, but using our “stuff” wisely and to our best abilities is the key to success. This week we will focus on what God has given us and what He wants us to do with it.

Decisions! Decisions! Decisions! Does it really matter which path is the one taken? “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.” Travel along as we discuss various paths.

It’s all about relationships. Relationships are great when they are going well. What do we do when they’re not going well? The Bible's direction is simple, though doing what it says isn't easy. But all great things require work and are worth the effort.

Family meals are about way more than food. If someone is missing, their absence is noticeable. Sometimes someone’s presence creates stress. We need to pay attention to the tension. When breaking bread together is meant to keep us more connected.

Birth order matters. First born children, middle children, and babies of any family tend to share common traits. This is true in our “faith-family” also. We each fill a role in our families - parents too, of course. These family connections play a crucial role in our faith formation.

NBLC isn’t about making members, but disciples! But WAIT! The Bible actually calls us “members of one another.” We are “family members.” We will explore the fact that just as we are all members of the human race, we were made for faith-family connections.
