First and foremost, it was the year the we returned to your podcast feed, after hibernating for about 18 months. Anson and Chris were joined by the Founder of Joybru Coffee Alex Jacobs. His quest for betterment via super foods and plant medicine have led him to start a number of ventures geared towards health and wellness. For the 3rd entry of the Pie Dreams and Quality Goods saga, Anson and I paid a visit to the Pie Smith himself Ricky Davis in his very own Pie Shop in Newark, California. It was an inevitable gathering that was years in the making, as we recalled our prior conversations where Ricky spoke of his aspirations of opening his own brick and mortar in the Tri City area. Ricky’s story truly is one of manifestation through consistency and accountability. Without any real mentor in the Pie smithing world, Ricky paved his own way into the pie scape, through quality processes and ingredients, and never cutting corners. The proof is in the pudding, or in this case the pie, as the success of Pie Dreams will be spread across tables in countless households in the approaching holiday season.
