QGPod 96 - Gatekeepers
26/05/2021 Duración: 01h07minOn this episode of podcast, Anson and Chris went guest-less again to address another universal topic, gatekeeping. Now the reason we say universal, is because we am fairly certain that we have all (us and you listeners) encountered gatekeepers at some point in our lives. And if you haven’t...then I’m not quite sure how you’ve managed to get this far in your life..because gatekeepers dwell all around us. In our careers, in our hobbies, in our fandoms, and sometimes even literally at physical gates. Let’s not mistake gatekeepers for locks though, because there is still a way through the gate that you seek passage, but it may just take some plotting and/or some persevering to get yourself through. We’ll discuss some ways to do so on this podcast, as well as some stories of being kept from gates in our own lives. QGPod 91 - Appearance & Impressions
16/03/2021 Duración: 51minOn this episode of the Quality Goods podcast Anson and Chris had another universal topic to discuss amongst themselves, appearance and impressions. While you can make impressions with more than just your appearance, your appearance almost always leaves some sort of impression, no matter how impactful it may be. As people, we consciously and subconsciously think about how we project ourselves with our appearance, and the impressions that we make on people. Obviously this varies from person to person, but these are things that we all consider consciously at some point.. so much so that sometimes we ever reflect on times where we have made a poor impression, cringing and wishing we had the opportunity for a re-do. But fear not, we all of plenty of more opportunities to make good impressions, so there is no sense in dwelling on opportunities missed in the past. We’ve all been there, but the best thing we can do is make a conscious effort to make good impressions moving forward. Appearance and impressions don’t ju

In the time since they last spoke to the mask clad artist, he has developed both as an artist and a businessman, and has never been more confident in how he sells and markets his art work. You don’t always have to go for broke in the pursuit of ambitious goals, and it is ok to take a step back to reformulate your plan of attack sometimes. It’s something that myself, Katie, and probably many of you have in common, and it is nothing to be ashamed of. If you never lose sight of the target that you’re aiming for, perhaps taking a few steps to the side will offer a new perspective and give you a cleaner shot at the bullseye. QGPod 85 - COVID Business with Piesmith Ricky Davis
13/01/2021 Duración: 01h31minFor our first episode of 2021, we invited one of our earliest guests Ricky of Pie Dreams to join us once more to get an update on how his business is going and how the events that transpired last year have affected it. It was great to reconnect with The Piesmith himself and hear how he has continued his mission to feed the east bay and beyond, and how he has navigated the new food landscape. QGPod 83 - COVID Business with Tim Cole
10/12/2020 Duración: 01h05minTim Cole is the former VP of Mascot Sports. The reason I emphasize former is actually the reason why we invited him to join us on the podcast once more! Throughout our COVID Business series, we’ve connected with former guests of ours to discuss how the COVID 19 pandemic has affected their businesses and livelihoods. Mascot Sports was an athletic events business, and the events industry is one of the hardest hit verticals of 2020. Events well into next year have been cancelled and postponed, and no events, means a certain demise for many events based businesses, and the boutique sporting events company could not sustain. Though Tim was sad to let go of such an exciting role, he was not discouraged. After a tiny bit of soul searching he hit the job market, and in quite a bold way! His approach on LinkedIn is a great example of how we can leverage some incredible tools, and with a bit of creativity and vulnerability, it paid off in the best possible way. I had the privilege of watching this all unfold before my
