WE"RE BACK...kind of... This week we sit down with Stefania Okolie, a newscaster currently working for ABC13.  We speak with her about how she got her start in news, how her first job could have resulted in a complete career change, and why she's infamous in her hometown (or at least with her hometown paper).  We also talk about her most recent project, Solely Fit, a fitness brand she is building from the ground up.  

This week's guest is Adeja Simone, the founder Lylyth Erotica & Lingerie.  We speak with her about her upbringing in Houston, the events that inspired her to start Lylyth, the steps she took starting the company (including a huge step of flying to China), and her plans for the future of the brand.  

This week's guest is attorney Rodney Jones.  He speaks with us about his start in Atlanta, launching a popular magazine while attending college, and how that led him along the path to law school.  We also speak about him about entertainment law and his most recent venture into movie production.

This week's guest is Roderick Vonn.  The Houston MC recently released Emancipation Park, an ode to a section of Houston that is rapidly changing.  We talk with Vonn about his No Plan B Podcast, his start in music, where he plans on taking his career, and gentrification in Houston.  

This week's guest is rapper Jdagr8 (pronounced J the great).  The Houston MC has worked with artists like NBA Youngboy, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, and more.  In 2019 he released the 50 track album "Till We All Rich" and this year he returns with "I'm Acting Different".  We speak with him about growing up in Houston, his entry into rap, and his feelings/experience with the life altering juvenile justice system.

This week's guest is Kam Franklin who is best known as the lead singer for The Suffers.  We discuss with her the band's history as well as the numerous projects with which Kam is involved.  She is a defender of artist rights as well as human rights and the organizations and projects that she joins and creates display that passion.

This week's guests are Reggie Ray and Chadd Black.  Reggie is known for his skits and remakes of pop culture clips.  He recreates scenes from shows like Love & Hip Hop and The B.E.T Awards.  He connected with our former guest, Chadd Black, owner and founder of the 713 Agency, Together the two have started Race 2 Review, a digital talk show which focuses on the discussions around pop culture.  We speak with Reggie about his start on apps like vine, branching away from the app when it shut down, gaining popularity on instagram, connecting with Chadd, and more.  

This week's guest is Jarren Small, the co-founder of Reading With A Rapper, Legends Do Live, and Kicks N Conversations.  He has worked with brands like HEB, Microsoft, RocNation, What-A-Burger, Atlantic Records, Finish Line, Puma, and more.  His Reading With A Rapper program has brought artists like AJ McQueen, Maxo Kream, Meek Mill, to Houston area schools and is currently in Aldine ISD as an after school program.  Kicks N Conversations has highlighted the accomplishments of leaders in the industry like Tausha Quan of SneakHer Summit/Sneaker Summit and Ronnie Jefferson the VP of FinishLine.  His Legends Do Live is a nonprofit that is furthering education here in Houston in a number of ways.  We speak with him about the many ventures that he is working in right now, how he got his start, what the goals and accomplishments are for each of his organizations, and what we can expect in the future.  

This week's guest is John Fuggin Dough, a Louisiana native that has made a home here in Houston.  The MC known for albums like Study Group has been steadily releasing singles like Civil (ft Rob Gullatte) and Tubmans.  He just recently stepped back into creating whole albums with the release of Peer Fuggin Pressure.  John sits down and talks with us about his start in music, the reason he took his time between albums, his 3rd iteration of Live From The Bayou (a music festival highlighting the cross sections between Houston and New Orleans), and more.  Come listen and hear John Fuggin Dough's humble opinion.

This week's guest is producer, instrumentalist, rapper, and singer/song writer Dende.  He released his debut album, DRK MTTR, last year and has been building up a buzz throughout Houston on the strength of his live performances.  We speak with him about his start in Katy, his leaving and eventual return to Texas, his musical inspiration, his new album, and more.  

This week's guest is Houston production pioneer Sean "Solo" Jemison.  He has worked on some notable albums like ESG's Sallin' Da South and Ocean of Funk as well as Lil Keke's debut album Don't Mess wit Texas.  He is also Grammy nominated for his production and composition of Swangin and Bangin which was sampled by Drake for his 2012 hit HYFR.  We speak with Sean about his start in music and his importance in Houston history as well as his plans for the future.

This week's guest is Kareem Daay.  Daay is the creator of the clothing brand Herd of Bison.  Kareem sits down with us to speak on where the idea for the clothing brand originated, where his inspiration comes from when making his pieces, his plans for the future of the brand and more.

This week our podcast steps into the political realm with our latest guest Audia Jones.  Jones is an attorney who is currently running for Harris County DA.  We speak with her about her outlook on the justice system, her working in the DA's office, and her plans for the office if she is elected.  (We has some technical difficulties this week and originally this episode was posted with the audio from a previous interview. This week we sit down with Prophessor Pete & A1Hollywood of Classroom Concerts, a Houston based platform showcasing local talent by connecting them with a live band and an audience.  The duo have put together concerts with artists like Sauce Walka, Bloodbath, Propain, Dante Higgins, Jazz Anderson, Susan Carol, and more.  We speak with Pete and A1 about where the idea for the platform originated, what all goes into putting on one of their shows, and what are their plans for the future. 

WE ARE BACK!  We decided to start of the new year with a bang but when no one returned our calls we just did a Todd & Tubo episode.  All jokes aside  these two are really doing a lot...building up the Things With Todd brand by putting together events and episodes of their show, creating content for Netflix, working with brands like Nike, working with artists like Bun B and Maxo Kream, bringing slabs into the Galleria, DJing, producing, hosting, and a bunch of other stuff.  We've interviewed them separately and this week we have them together.   

This week's guest is Damien Randle, one third of the Houston rap group K-Otix.  He speaks with us about being apart of the first rap group to internationally tour out of Houston, stepping away (and coming back) to he mic, using the skills he learned in his music career to develop into other ventures like Rappers I Know (RIK), and his plans for the future.
