With so much that has taken place in the last couple of weeks I was compelled to share my thoughts and opinions on the following, the Amber Guiger trial, the Joshua Brown Murder, Atatiana Jeferson's murder, and the passing of Congressman Elijah Cummings. We as a black community have suffered many losses and each loss hold a significant meaning to all of us people of color especially. The trail of former Amber Guiger exposed a lot about the type of person she was, as with Botham Jean as well. They lived two very different Life styles, and definitely had two different sets of beliefs. A lot of people these days, seems to be looking, hoping, praying, chasing, waiting and forcing love, only to find out later, what they thought was love, was indeed counterfeit, fake, false or a figment of ones imagination.
