You should take the opportunity to head to island Park Idaho to go snowmobiling and enjoy a hot tub in the middle of the winter at an Airbnb cabin! That's what we did recently to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was a great reprive from the busy craziness of everyday life. How does it feel to travel so often that you want to travel every weekend? Sometimes you leave on vacation so that you can come back even stronger and more rejuvenated. Then you want to travel more and more. Following some advice from Tim Ferriss in The Four Hour Work Week, I once asked a boss to allow me to work remotely each Friday. I made sure to be uber productive on Fridays this then allowed me to travel with a laptop and a cell phone on any weekend that I wanted without losing pay. Could you work from home remotely one day a week or many days a week? Use a large laptop with a long battery life and a wonderful smartphone with a VoIP app so you can make and receive calls, send and receive emails on any Friday as you're traveling the world. The best part? You lose no money from missing work. The most affordable way to get to Europe by plane is to be flexible in your timing. Don't go when your boss says you can go or your business says you can go but rather choose a low cost flight anytime of the year. and when you get there strongly consider traveling from country to country by a high-speed train. It'll allow you to be fresh, clean and well rested as you travel in between countries. There are multiple ways to pay for your vacation. You can pay after your vacation which causes great misery. You can pay as you go during your vacation which is really nice. You know how there are times where you go to a wonderful place but you just can't get through the gates? That happened to me at the BMW factory in Munich Germany several years ago. It also happened to me at the Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC. Another time when I was in Tennessee I wasn't able to go see Graceland. Many times I've been in LA but haven't been able to visit the Richard M. Nixon Presidential library. On my numerous trips to Portland Oregon I have not been able to see Cannon Beach. Yep we planned and planned and planned, but our plans changed a little bit as our situation changed. We learned when to get fast passes, how amazing Men In Black, The mummy, and the Rockin' Rocket are. We also learned that the Leaky Cauldron is good but Three Broomsticks is even better for food. and we switched our hotels so that we could have five nights and a two bedroom suite for 700 bucks. So the Davises want to take a Christmas vacation to Florida, how do they do it? Well it began with a family council. our coordinating as a family began one night at dinner and continued for the next couple hours. We researched crowd calendar apps, discount pricing to get into universal studios, and of course we researched airfare, rental cars, hotel options, food options, and fastpasses.
