I followed some advice from Dan the blogger and discovered in my Google Maps that I've traveled 57 times for 128 days in the last 2 years! These trips of course are for business, pleasure, family travel, etc. Nevertheless I was blown away with the number of trips that I've taken in the last 2 years. Thank goodness that Google Maps has done a terrific job tracking what I've done, where I've eaten, where I've stayed, and how I've played so that my best journaling efforts can now be enhanced with this amazing tool! I wouldn't recommend a credit card to most people. But for those people who collaborate and work together and have the money already set aside for a credit card, they can maximize points and thus earn free travel if they're wise in their use of a card. My wife and I minimize our credit card so that we only have one or two at any point in time. And our goal is always a zero balance. And we use the points on our Delta American Express Platinum card to travel to multiple destinations and back for free. We use points that we've accumulated by buying routine things such as groceries or fuel. Over the next 10 months Melissa and I have four trips planned. How? It starts with frugality. Our cars are older than most. Our home was built in the seventies. And we constantly are trying to cut expenses while enjoying family experiences and vacations. Over the last few weeks we've collaborated with children discussed with friends and family and watched videos so that we can be ready for our upcoming trips.
