Is the Gospel Intense? with Larry Kutzler
19/08/2022 Duración: 16minThe culture is changing and is becoming more and more against Christian values. There are those who say that if our Christian values don’t comply and become supportive of the cultural mandates, we will be seen as combatants in our society. The pressure will increase until we give in … we have seen that reality happen with the homosexual revolution. Christians now are slowly accepting the homosexual lifestyle as acceptable to God. What a lie! What a crime against the truth of God’s Word!We are called to love everyone, to forgive everyone, and to tell the truth to everyone. Loving and forgiving is what we do fairly well in the church, but we are lacking in telling the truth. Scripture teaches us to tell the truth in love … but the mandate is clear, “tell the truth.” In this episode, we tell the truth.Challenging the Culture with Truth with Larry Kutzler and Esteemed Guests. Evangelism with Amy Bruno and Chris Heeb
12/08/2022 Duración: 24minIn this episode, Larry Kutzler talks with Amy Bruno and Chris Heeb about evangelism. The message that we have is good news and brings great joy. So, why is evangelism so hard for most Christians? Evangelism is the least practiced discipline in the Christian faith. Why? Most of us have not been taught how we should do evangelism. Until you care more about people than yourself, you can’t be building the Kingdom of God. When you’re willing to be led by God and ask him to give you the words to speak, He will use you for His glory. The Crossroads Chapel, also known as Chapel at the Fair, has been sharing the Gospel at the Minnesota State Fair for more than sixty years. It is a welcoming place where millions of fairgoers enjoy live performances by Christian musicians, and buy fine religious-inspired books and merchandise at their Bookstore and Gift Shop. Gender Identity with Luca Jo Groppoli
05/08/2022 Duración: 30minLuca Jo Groppoli is a woman who for many years of her life lived a transgender lifestyle as a man. Luca Jo was abused as a young girl, and thought that by becoming a boy it would spare her, but it actually did the opposite. Luca Jo was told at the age of 17 that she needed to have a sex change. Luca Jo tells us how one pastor and one church loved her through this journey, and the years of tumultuous living left scars on her life but love sought her out and marked her with joy and peace. The Intensity of the Gospel with Larry Kutzler
29/07/2022 Duración: 19minThe Gospel isn’t about church services with hymns, prayers, and sermons. We use these to make a case for the Gospel, and is the practice of most Christians around the world. There is nothing wrong in this practice, with one exception … this is not the Gospel. The Gospel of Jesus Christ demands His followers to be completely committed to the message of the Cross. Nothing is more important than what Jesus did for us, and there is no greater reward than what we are promised as a result of the Cross. In this episode, Larry will challenge you to think again about your own commitment to Jesus and how much of His message controls your life.Challenging the Culture with Truth with Larry Kutzler and Esteemed Guests. The Woundedness of Men, Part 2
22/07/2022 Duración: 24minPastor Walt continues Thinking Out Loud on the Woundedness of Men. Real men are supposed to be strong, courageous, competent, and masterful. Real men are not supposed to show emotions, just keep it all bottled up inside. Real men don't eat quiche. Most men don’t have any male friends, they don’t know how to be a friend to other men. Most men don’t know how to engage other men … they just talk about sports or politics but nothing meaningful. How are men supposed to relate to one another? How do young men learn how to relate to other men? Fathers are models for their sons, but many fathers don’t father their sons. Culture messes with manhood, the regression of society allows men to not be present and accountable. There has to be a place for men … that place is the church. The church teaches morals and values and older men give younger men mentoring relationships, and helps them to find their role in society, in the family, and in relationship with other men.Walt McFadden, Pastor of Cityview Church, is a no-nons

The Woundedness of Men, Part 1
15/07/2022 Duración: 25minIn this episode, Pastor Walt shares that it's not a man's world anymore. Men seem to be less like men, and men have been emasculated for several decades. Pastor Walt asks why would a man want to be more effeminate? This is Satan’s strategy. His strategy is to confuse and counterfeit what God has created. Pastor Walt tells us that men are actually looking for clear direction. Men who are leaders in the church need to give men clear direction, and if men accept the direction, things will change. Young men need to be mentored and helped to overcome their woundedness. It’s a matter of discipleship and guidance to help young men grow to be men.Walt McFadden, Pastor of Cityview Church, is a no-nonsense kind of guy who takes no prisoners when it comes to the Truth. Pastor Walt likes to ‘Think Out Loud’ about the Bible and how it can impact a community through the proper application of Spiritual Principles. You will find an honest response to some of the most difficult questions facing us today. Visit Walt McFadden

Accountability with Pastor Ross Tenneson
08/07/2022 Duración: 22minIn recent years, we have seen many national Christian leaders fail, and this raises the question about accountability. Most ministries do not have any systems to help Christian leaders from failing morally, and yet it is critical to maintain some kind of accountability for those who lead the church. In this episode, Larry talks with Pastor Ross Tenneson about the church he serves and how they handle this issue among their leadership.Challenging the Culture with Truth with Larry Kutzler and Esteemed Guests. Cancel Culture and Grace with Walt McFadden
17/06/2022 Duración: 23minPastor Walt McFadden has been a pastor for over 30 years, and has been pastoring at Cityview Church in Minneapolis for the past 15 years. His focus is discipleship and the mentoring of the next generation. He is my guest in this episode, and he 'Thinks Out Loud' on the Cancel Culture and Grace. Pastor Walt says, in the church, we are often not forgiving people, we are often not accepting people, and we have a problem in our culture ... cancel culture. So, what's cancel culture? It's somewhat a boycott of someone who has done something other people find objectionable. Cancel culture is rooted in Social Media, and its goal is to destroy those who it finds objectionable. It can be someone just like you and me. Social Media cancels people who it thinks is objectionable ... so does the church. The Apostle Paul offers us grace to extend to others, rather than the cancel culture. People don't understand what grace really is. Why? Grace is easier said than done ... you have to practice what you preach. Visit Cityvie

The Nature of Policing with Bill Breimhorst
27/05/2022 Duración: 20minPolicing like so many areas of authority in our society have been under attack for some time, and it continues to be in the news. For example, the trial of Derek Chavin accused of killing George Floyd. Chavin was convicted of three counts of murder. Most people following this case felt justice was served in the jury’s decision to convict. I am not here to debate the verdict, it was decided by a jury and that settles it for me. However, I am concerned about the nature of policing our cities moving forward. In this episode, my guest is Bill Breimhorst, a former police officer and currently a pastor in a Western Suburb of the Twin Cities. You will enjoy his calm demeanor and his insights into today's policing. Visit Bill BreimhorstChallenging the Culture with Truth with Larry Kutzler and Esteemed Guests. Defy the Darkness with Larry Kutzler
20/05/2022 Duración: 17minIt becomes easy for most of us to curse the darkness because it is so egregious. Yet, many times that is all we do … we complain about it. Darkness always behaves like its creator, Satan, and it always hides from the truth. Darkness loves to agitate, deceive, and more and more people refuse to push back because of the personal high cost of offending the cancel culture. In this episode, Larry talks about pushing back and defying the darkness.Challenging the Culture with Truth with Larry Kutzler and Esteemed Guests. Visit CitySites Urban MediaCheck out Larry’s books!

Messin' with God's Treasures
13/05/2022 Duración: 31minBelshazzar, the last king of Babylon learned a very swift and harsh lesson about messin' with God's treasures. You see, he took the Temple treasures his ancestor, Nebuchadnezzar, captured from the Jews' Jerusalem Temple in 586 BC and used them for a drinking party in honor of Babylon's gods. As he did so he mocked Israel's God. BIG MISTAKE! God's hand appeared and wrote out his judgment … death, Babylon's judgment, overthrown … which was carried out that very night. Here's the point. We can REALLY anger God and invite his discipline (if not judgment) when we mess with His treasures. And here's something scary … God has treasures that go far beyond the Temple treasures. How about people, relationships, worship services, and so on? Take a listen to Jay the Truth Barista and Amazing Larry. Be prepared for a BIG challenge! This creative Podcast uses an imaginary coffeehouse as the setting to talk about the issues facing our day. You Reap What You Sow with Pastor Tom Parrish
06/05/2022 Duración: 18minThere is a spiritual principle that tells us that we will reap what we sow. If we build our lives on the wrong things, we will end up with a life that is off course and away from God. Reaping what we sow is a principle that Pastor Tom Parrish, a prolific writer and teacher of God's Word, shares with us in this episode. This principle is applied to the church and the ramifications are simple. If we don’t sow spiritual seed into the lives who attend our churches, we then can’t expect a healthy spiritual congregation. Have we mentored our youth in our congregations to reflect the Gospel? Have we developed the kind of disciples that will change the world for God? Well, I decided to ask a young man whose career path is to be a pastor in the near future. Kenneth Granados will soon graduate from the Christian University he has been attending with his goal of preparing for the ministry. Hippies and Jesus with Steven Uggen
15/04/2022 Duración: 25minWhen I became a Christian back in the early 1970’s there was a movement known as the Jesus People Revival, and these were primarily people coming out from the hippie movement of that era. Churches were not ready for the long hair and barefoot new converts coming to Christ. In time, churches either adapted to these new hippie believers or new churches sprang up to accommodate them. Today, we do better at accepting people into our churches, but I’m not sure we are challenging them to be the kind of followers Jesus is looking for in order to fulfill the Great Commission. In this episode, Larry talks with Steven Uggen, a man whose ministry is trying to get the church to realize that it may be falling short in making disciples.Challenging the Culture with Truth with Larry Kutzler and Esteemed Guests. Red Letter Christians with Chris Heeb
08/04/2022 Duración: 26minThere have been many movements in the church since I started my career in ministry. We’ve had the Prosperity Movement, the Jabez Prayer Movement, the Dominion Movement, the Seeker Sensitive Movement and on and on. Now, we have the Red Letter Christian Movement. This separates the Words of Jesus from the rest of Scripture and prioritizes them as more important than the rest of the Bible. Of course, we all know the Bible is the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation, so this movement seems out of step with the whole revelation of God found in the Scriptures.
